Did you know that October is National Principal's Month? It's the perfect time to honor all of those hard-working administrators in our schools. And these Free Printable Principal Appreciation Cards are a nice little way to do just that. You can just print them off, write a nice note inside, and give it to your principal (or assistant principal) to make sure they know how much they're appreciated. You can even tuck in a gift card if they're your extra favorite principal (wink)! There are four versions of these principal appreciation cards below.
Free Printable Principal Appreciation Cards
Today's printable Principal Appreciation cards are for both principals and assistant principals. I also created these so they can be given from an individual or a group of folks. So, if you're on a team of teachers that loves their principal, be sure to let them know and give them a card from the whole bunch. Whether it's for National Principals Month, Teacher Appreciation Week, end-of-school gift giving, or just a random Tuesday smack dab in the middle of the year, a simple little card with a note inside will be greatly appreciated by principals and assistant principals, alike. Four separate designs are available to make sure everyone is covered in the principal appreciating department.Hilariously, my own husband has been a principal for over 16 years now...and I had no idea there was an entire month set aside to honor his profession. But, apparently, October is it! So, let's celebrate those great people who take care of our schools and kids.
The designs for today's free Printable Principal Appreciation Cards were created to coordinate with my set of four Principal Appreciation Printables (one is pictured above) that are housed over on my other site, I Should Be Mopping the Floor. I snuck in a little graph paper as backgrounds for all of these designs. I feel like it really anchors everything to the page.
Printing and Using Your Cards:
- Please note that these printable greeting cards are for personal use only. You may certainly gift them from yourself or your team or family members.
- You'll be able to download your preferred card design below.
- Greeting cards should always be printed onto cardstock (not regular paper). I prefer a 90 pound cardstock, myself.
- For these card designs, print onto white, letter-sized cardstock. The designs are laid out in a manner to make this a breeze.
- You can grab your own pack of white, letter-sized cardstock here on Amazon for a great price. That's actually where I purchase all of my own cardstock.
- Once you print your card, cut it out just inside the red outline around the entire perimeter of the card design. If you print a lot of my card designs, you may want to consider getting a paper trimmer to make quick work of cutting out cards. I use this one from Fiskars available over on Amazon.
- Fold your card in half. For years, I have talked about how I use the handle of my heavy, stainless scissors to create a nice, wrinkle-free crease on my printed greeting cards. That is a trick that still works well, but I recently found an origami tool that also works great for this (it's actually what the tool is intended for). A bone paper creaser is a nifty little tool to add to your arsenal if you fold a lot of cards.
- These cards are blank on the inside to fill in your own sentiments.
- I've got envelope information for you below.
Envelopes for Your Cards
- All of my printable cards are designed to fit size A6 sized envelopes. A6 envelopes measure 4 3/4" x 6 1/2".
- Today's cards work would work with a variety of colors of envelopes. This would really make the hues of those colored pencils really POP when your recipient pulls their card out of the envelope. I've included links to some of my favorite A6 envelopes in a variety of colors over on Amazon below:
