Today's free printable bee cards are ready to buzz their way right into your stationery drawer (and then head to your friends' mailboxes). They're the perfect wordless card for summertime correspondence. Download either of these bee cards below (there are two designs).
If today's bee cards look familiar, it's because they're the same design as my Bumble Bee Printables on my other blog (I have more information on those further down in this post). I had numerous readers ask if I could make this design into a greeting card. I thought that was a wonderful idea...so here these sweet lil' bee cards are! They're ready for you to download below.
Free Printable Bee Cards
As you can see from above, these bee cards are available with or without the watercolor hex-honeycomb background. I personally really love the background option on these, but if you're looking to save a bit of ink, go with the background-free option.
Printing and Using Your Bee Cards
- These free printable bee cards are for personal use. However, if you have a small business or shop and would like to carry the physical, printed version of the cards (no digital reselling of any kind is allowed), you can purchase a commercial license here.
- Make sure to only print greeting cards of this nature onto letter-sized white cardstock paper. Regular paper is too thin for printable cards and the corners will curl.
- You can purchase a pack of letter-sized white cardstock here on Amazon. It's where I buy my own cardstock. Make sure to always buy the cardstock labeled 100+lbs (this isn't the quantity you're purchasing, this refers to the actual paper weight).
- After printing out your bee cards, you'll cut around the outside of the small green hairline surrounding the perimeter of the card. You can use scissors or even a paper cutter for this. Personally, I like to use my Fiskars Paper Cutter-- it makes quick work of cutting out cards and keeps the edges nice and straight.
- Once your greeting card is cut out, fold it in half.
- This is an optional step, but makes for a nice touch: I like to take the handle of my scissors and run it along the fold of the card to remove any wrinkles in the cardstock. It gives the card's crease a crisper, more polished look.
- And the best part: don't forget to write your own sentiments inside of the card.
- Envelope information for these bee cards is included below.
Envelopes for Your Bee Cards
All of the printable cards I design here on Print Pretty Cards are specifically created to fit inside of A6 envelopes. The measurements for A6 envelopes are 4 3/4" x 6 1/2". To simplify, I buy my A6 envelopes through Amazon (they have the most colors and options to choose from...even over my local office-supply stores). I have listed a few specific options below on Amazon for today's printable bee cards:- kraft paper style A6 envelopes
- white A6 envelopes
- black A6 envelopes (see note below)
- I love darker envelopes for cards (like the black ones in this instance)...I use a metallic pen with them to make the address visible. My favorites are these Pilot G2 Pens here on Amazon.
Free Bumble Bee Printable
And as I've mentioned, these bee cards have the same design as my Free Bumble Bee Printable over on my other blog, I Should Be Mopping the Floor. You can see both of the printable designs above.
